Is anyone able to give me step by step instructions to replace the blower motor on my '07 E320 Bluetech?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.:thumbsup:

Remove the covers under the passengers side of the dashboard and you will see all.

I'm at 113,000 kilometres, or 67,000 miles.

It is a widespread issue with these cars. Mine went out at 70k miles. It still worked but
the infernal chirping was enough to make me swap it with a new one.

I do not know how many 211 customers I have but it is a lot and I have never had to change one:confused: Maybe it is the nicely poluted air in China that keeps them lubricated, all that oil from the woks lol

LOL,
I have seen at least 6 in the last 18 months and we don't get a lot MB's in on the tech side
of the shop. Most of them are in for bodywork.

Job done! It took about an hour and the only difficulty is that, for a fairly big guy, the blower is in an awkward position.

I just finished up the replacement of the blower motor this evening. 3degrees F outside but nice and warm in the the garage.

Thanks to the posted photos I was able to complete the job in less than 45 minutes.

Blower motor has been chirping on and off for the past six months right after the warranty ended. Car has just hit 39,000 miles so I am surprised the bearing was begining to fail. Hope this one lasts longer.

If I may ask, what kind of bodywork...rust? Just curious. What years? Trying to get an idea of how W211s are faring in terms of rust. TIA.

Depending on the year some have more aluminum body panels than others.
The 07 face lift to 09 have the most.

They seem to fare pretty well in our winters. We see several high mileage W211s at the
body shop and they all seem solid. There are a few owners that ignore a scratch or chip
that is down to the steel and surface rust started. Some have it fixed others just let it go.
The ice melting chemicals are evil to cars here. The German cars seem to hold up
very well compared to a lot other makes.

Back in 2011 see post #11 I replaced the blower in my 2006 E350 4 matic using the attached instructions

Car now has 75,000 miles and replacement motor is as quiet as the day I put it in
