Hello everyone! I am looking at buying a 2010-2011 GLK 350 for my wife and was hoping to get a little feedback from owners on what they like/dislike about the vehicle. I have test driven one and was really impressed with it. One of the main things I am curious about is the real world fuel mileage people are experiencing. I currently have her in a Yukon but with the way gas prices are going, it would be nice to do a little better. I know it isn't going to be in the 40mpg area like a B200 but am curious as to what everyone is really getting. Any other likes/dislikes you have also please!

Well - I'm a newbie too. My 2011 GLK 4Matic is the first Benz I've ever owned. My GLK now has about 8K miles on her now, and, has been on some long trips. Her fuel economy seems to stay mostly in the 20 - 24.5 MPG range. Performance and handling are excellent for a little SUV. Its a very comfortable trip car, and, my wife loves ours. The only down side I can see is the rear door openings are a little tight, and, it's a bit difficult to get my 88 year old mother in the back seat. Other than that, I'm most satisfied with the GLK.

Had a courtesy one this weekend and the wife liked it. We put 650 miles on it and today traded her C320 sport wagon on a new 2012 blk/tan loaded GLK. I like the fact that it's peppy and can cruise at 80 with little strain on the engine rpm wise. 7 yr 100 k warranty too

How much extra did that extended warranty cost? Did you buy the warranty from the dealer? We have a loaded GLK 350 on order. Build in late October. Delivery to Tyler, TX late Nov.-early Dec. I would be very interested to hear about the extended warranty.

Thanks!

I'll have to check the paperwork but $3682 rings a bell, Mercedes have come down on the extended warranties on average of $700 each. Understand I was the victim of one $2850 repair on my wifes station wagon about a year out of warranty so I will justify the extra $$; that repair almost caused a "no more" attitude because it was suspension related. But the reviews have been pretty good on the GLK - a couple that we know love theirs and so far 22k flawless miles. I also got 2.9% money from Mercedes.

Blk/Tan, Nav/DVD/6 disc, Prem Package, AMG rims. I polished it and sealed it today, looks great. Try to get a pic up today...

My mother thought we spent $60k, she was amazed that it was $2400 more than her loaded Ford Explorer limited - which we did look at because my wife (when we had it)put 129k FLAWLESS miles on our 1996 XLT 5.0 Explorer - my neice is still driving it today at 184k.

Old Explorer next to my track car - which is getting a new 2.8L upgrade this winter

Wife is in a '10 GLK RWD with a few whistles on it, dealer demo with extended warranty, Mars red with tan interior. I tried to steer her into a C300 but no luck. She likes the seating position & the shape of the seats which fit her better than the Saab 9-5 Aero she was driving. Performance & fuel economy are not as good as the Saab but she is much happier in the GLK. She loves the electric rr hatch. When the litle lady is happy everybody is happy!

I bought my wife the 2011 Glk amg model. She loves the panoramic roof, large wheels, fast acceleration, when you turn the headlights will brighten up the direction you are facing, great sound system, automated trunk, and integrated bluetooth phone system. She uses premium fuel and only fills up once every two weeks. My dad had the b200 it was better on gas, car was too slow thou, huge trunk space when you fold the seats down, after 10,000km the oil was still yellow! Both vehicles are easy to park and inexpensive to maintain. My salesman told me to bring my glk in after 20,000km for the very first service.

I have driven both cars I prefer the glk but the cost is a lot more.

We picked up this New 2010 GLK350 4WD in Berolo Red in Sept. 2011. It was a special order which fell through so was held by the dealer for over a year. This little cuty has pin striping, heated front seats package, premium P01 package- auto dimming mirriors, seat memory package, rain sensor, panarama roof, elect. rear gate+ more, 320 Multimedia package- 7 inch display, rear view camera, command system, 6 gb hard-drive with music register, logic 7 surround sound + more, 321 AMG Styling package and the chrome appearance package. Managed to get this for 39k, then added audible park-assist sensors to the rear bumper and a special key controlled remote start. Also added the rear cargo cover, rear net, cargo liner and all weather mats. This small suv listed at 49 K. My wife really likes the way it looks-much different than the stock package. The large engine really makes this a great cruiser on the highway. It has more positive road handling and you are not totally isolated from the feel of the road. It does not drive like the Lexus, it has a more sporty feel. Very positive road control. Gets about 20-21 MPG, but we have a lot of hills here in NJ. Overall its a nice car and gets a lot of looks.
