I just got done installing clear corners on my 86 190E. When i turned the car on and tried using the blinkes they didnt work..i unplugged the turn left blinker, and the right one worked. after taking the 3 metal plugs out of the black holder( the thing that plugs into the back of the light, both turn signals dont work...and theres not even the ticking noise and the green arrow on the dash anymore. got any hints?

has anyone done any work with the turn signals that could give me some pointers?
Check the hazard switch. If its even slightly disconnected....it will cause the turn signals not to work. Also, the switch freezes up sometimes. So just play with it. Its a common problem.
thanks...the hazard switch wasn't working either now that u mention it.
its a common problem that i had. turn on ur signal to left or right, then switch the hazard on and off continuously until the signal wokrs.
I just turned the hazard switch on and off for about two minutes and it did nothing. I then took the cover off around the shifter and made sure the waring light was plugged in, which is was, and that didnt work. any more suggestions?

Sounds like you blew a fuse. Check fuses #11, #13, and #14 and see if they are blown.
BINGO! I checked the fuses and it turns out 11 and 13 were both blown. Popped two new fuses in there and now everything is perfect...thanks [:D]
