Hello, everyone. Thanks for taking the time to read the thread and, potentially, help with my dilemna.

I have a 1992 500SEL with about 52,000 miles on it. I have stock wheels but would really like to find a set of genuine AMG Monoblocks to give the car the aggressive look and stance it deserves.

Problem is, I have heard 10 different opinions on:
  • what offset is the right offset
  • don't use spacers
  • no wait, spacers are ok if you do x
  • etc., etc., etc.
I'd like a set of square 18s as I have a 5 year old and buying staggered tires ain't gonna fly with the boss. I need to be able to rotate.

I'll check back in with some pics but if anyone has a W140 and can assist with some info, I'd be grateful.

Easy,

Co

Look here for your oem wheel specs:

As for the use of spacers, imo, not recommended.
Thank you, sir. What I'm trying to do is push the tire out to the fender without rubbing. That is the trick here.

Still, good info. Grazie.

Head over to the w140 forum and do a search thru there.
You should be able to find some good threads there on this topic.
