I have an E320 W210 1996 with this connector with the clear zip ties which when car cranks but won't start I just shake it altlle and car fires right up. This connector appears to go to the PCM / EDU and tranny also to the K40 fuse box,

Shake shake shake.....shake your...... It appears there's a poor connection within the connector hense the zip ties to hold it tight...... Cut the zip ties and inspect.....then fix or re-zip tie it, only tighter 馃榾

No one seems to know the exact name for this part ? It appears that engine tends to affect this part because if I shake it when hot or not when car runs cranks and starts up it doesnt turn off like a short in wiring it appears to be rewakening the computer to allowing everything to start the car up. Not sure what you mean by break it down its a no brainer!?? Have read in forum that others have had same problem with K40 fuse relay box where can one be obtained?

You should remove the tie-wraps and look for a part number. It may be a an aftermarket gizmo. The picture of the part is not good with the shadows of wiring. Take a better picture indicating how many wires / hose ? coming to the part. and the color of the wires. K40 relay is where the module box is (engine computer, traction module etc.). If it is something to do with jiggling that part, I do not see why it has anything to do with the K40.
