Need help finding a front bumper euro plate holder

1077 Views 9 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Drew
Hi all,

Just waned to know if any knows where I can get a euro style licence plate holder to go on the fron bumper of a 230 coupe. I have the plate and plate frame, but since the front bumper is not flat I need the appropriate holder that is moulded accordingly and painted to match the color of the car.

I've seen pics of europeean cars with it and assume that they come with the car since front plates are mandatory there. I've asked around at dealerships in Montreal and Toronto but they say they cannot order them.

Does anyone know if I can find these in North America or can anyone in Europe tell me if these are available from your dealerships?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanx,
Mark

What kind of Euro plate is it? They're available in different lengths afterall, depending on country. I think that I should be able to get one.

Yup, MB Canada and MBUSA dealers cannot order Euro specific stuff as it is not in their databases.

Wow, thanx! It would be really appreciated if you could help me get one.

It is a German plate (dimensions: 53cm by 13.5cm including the frame) and the color of the car is orion blue.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Once again, thank you.

I assume that your license plate looks like the one below?

And Charlie, that's how it would look with your car's colour [:)]

Drew, yup that's what it looks like.
Just that it is a newer European Community plate (probably 2000-2001) with a blue rectangle on the left rather than the yellow on the right in the picture you posted

But I assume the dimensions are the same.

Actually, I'm not sure...

I know that there are brackets behind that attach at the bottom. I suppose if you really don't want to drill, some strong 3M automotive adhesive tape will hold it in place. [:)]
