I am about to buy a low mileage 2000 E55 from a dealership in florida, (Carfax says it was originally purchased in NY) and have it shipped to California. How can I find out if it is a 50 state certified car? I can't afford to bring it here and then it does not pass smog and then I can't register. Thanks for any advice!

Look for option number "494" California version
version for USA/California/Canada (с 01.01.1996)

All 00 e55's should have that code.
