Need an experienced eye

Hi guys,
My rear driver door lock works with the door panel off, but with it installed
it freezes up.
Can someone spot the problem? Something must be assembled wrong.

its really weird.
I literally had to put vise grips on the lock button inside and hammer it up it was so stuck when
I first got the car. When the panel is on you cannot move the lock button at all.
Take the panel off and its fine.
