Hey all-

I searched and i can't seem to find any threads that have info on where to buy a new steering wheel for our 123's. I am in need of a new one, mine has a soft spot in it and has now split. i'd like to get a new one rather than a used one. any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

I have a used one available if your search for a new one is unsuccessful.

New prices would most likely scare you. There should be plenty of real good used ones around. Be aware that the early W123 had a different wheel from the later. Believe the change was made around 9/79.

I have a near-mint wheel off a w201 do some research and see if it will fit. I'll locate some pictures for you.

You can see minor sun damage on top of wheel. Dont have any dead on shots, thought i did.

If you are ready for a good laugh, call your local MB dealer and ask how much. It would not surprise me if they quoted you $ 650 or more. I got a very nice used steering wheel for $ 60 on eBay. I want to replace the existing one in my 83 300SD because it got a little too loose on the top (not split, just starts to separate from the metal underneath). I have seen a lot worse steering wheels that the one I am replacing though.

No bargains here.
Adsit is pretty poor as far as parts condition goes. I would be weary with anything used or new from them.

Wow! $500 for a new steering wheel? Most of my cars didn't cost that much.

xtraag, I replied to your PM, send me your email.

thanks p100, now it's down to price. thanks to all for your help, kinda sucks that no body makes half decent steering wheels that don't cost an arm and a leg!
