Hope someone can assist. My 300 SL has a fault with only the near side fog lights and MOT is due. Both front and back won't illuminate on same side and am suspecting a common fault as it's definetly not failed lamps. Are the fog lights controlled via relay(s) - according to fuse board label, all fogs are fed from one fused circuit - is this correct? If so then it may be a relay contact / wiring fault? I know I could parallel up front and back circuits by looping over from off side to near side with appropriate wiring but i'd rather resolve. Also that won't extinguish the 'lamp out' light on the dash. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

I don't think they are on a relay. Sounds like a bad ground.
