Hi, I'm new to this site. We just bought a 2000 ML320. They said it has navigation but it came with no software. I email DonHo to see about buying some cd's. I don't even know where to insert the cd? We have no owner's manual and the dealership had no idea about it. Can someone tell me where it would be? I opened the front of the display window and there is only a casset tape slot. The CD changer is in the back.

Nav?

I don't believe you have NAV. For the DVD version (CD the same?), the NAV drive is located behind the MCS screen, above the cassette drive.

Interesting The dealership (MB that is, not the one we bought our car from) said it was underneath the actual screen???

Doesn't sound like your ML has Nav. The Nav drive is just above the cassette slot which is all behind the screen.

If you don't have the nav drive, you can install the drive yourself. Search for instructions.

okay... no, I don't have it. I definately don't have that "cd" looking thing behind the screen.

As asianml said, you can buy the drive and install it. You may also need to install the sat antenna. If you find the the price approaches ~$1000 - $1200, I'd consider a Pioneer or Kenwood... Very nice up-to-date hardware.
