Not sure if this is true, but I've heard that if your car is still under the manufacturer warranty, you can get a copy of the newest version of the Navigation maps DVD for free. Is this true? Or do you still have to pay the retail price for a Navigation DVD upgrade. Thanks.

Most of the programs I have seen MB offer were subscriptions, involving payment in advance for updates (perhaps at a discount) for periods such as 3 years.

In one recent situation, a U.S. map DVD had an error that resulted in some Interstate highway segments being displayed as minor roads; those discs could be replaced free at the owner's request.

Other than that' it's retail price - which is less through NavTeq, the disc's manufacturer, than through MB. It's exactly the same disc. Navteq - Maps for your Navigation System
