I have a 85 sec euro coupe and the roof will only retract but it will not vent. Was that from the factory or is it broken, can anybody help me. Thanks

Do you mean tilt? It may not, I think the gen1 cars may have either not had any tilt, or it was optional.

what about if your moonroof doesnt open at all? is it possible for them to be knocked off a track or something? when i press the button i can here a motor running so its not a fuse problem, and when u look at it from outside, it is angled slightly upward from the back. (enough to see light shine through)

Markus is correct. According to the B&C manual, Gen I cars only slide open and closed. I do not believe it was ever an option.

It uses a completely different motor unit that has a different circuit in it for the stops.

80-85 sliding roof only (switch on console)
86-91 sliding-venting roof (switch on overhead light)
