My 240 has the blue dash, as a result of sitting outside for all of its 26 years, the dash has cracked and looks like sh*t.

have any of youall made/installed a carpeted dash cover? i, myself think that they are uber-tacky, but the other options arent to my liking either.

i can either have the dash repaired, this never looks right. i can stare at arguably the only technical oversight of the engineers over at Mercedes-Benz or i can replace it after a weeks work and at fairly great expense.

im adept with a needle and am capable of making sure the thing sits right, i just want to know what youall think of yours or them in general-- i hope to find short pile, i dont want a chia dash!

My car had a carpeted dash cover when I bought it. It's the dark blue with very short pile. It looked pretty good and fit well. I'll sell it to you if you want[:D]

I now have a plastic/vinal cover that looks almost stock. It fits pretty well to- goes on with provided glue. This isn't the site I got it from, but it's similiar: http://www.coverlaymfg.com/E_Store/Dash_Covers/Foreign/Mercedes/
