I just ran across your SEC on ebay. I absolutely love the color. Sorry to see it go since you have taken such good care of it.

Good luck with your sale.

+2 on the color-- would love to be able to have one like her. Can barely afford the one I have though!!

Hope she sells high-- deservedly so!

Sorry to see you selling the SEC. Is that the one that I saw at Motorwerks a few years ago? That was a very nice car.

No no, I still have my euro SEL that I have to put back together. If that was done, I might sell it and keep the SEC, but with the kids getting older, a 2 door is not very useful these days.

Yes, that's the one. It is a nice car. Almost too nice for my anal retentive personality...!

Is it my computer, ebay, or the photos? They look a bit off?

Hi,
As some of you know I have begun searching for a 560SEC and while I do not want to steal one or at least that is not my #1 goal ha! I am having a hard time pulling the trigger. I am now looking at (inspection process) a 1990 with 95K miles nice paint and interior new ac and suspension, tires, tune up etc.
the price is pretty well below what I would consider market say about $8K being market.

Markus' car has great appeal obviously but I can't get my head to what a reasonable price would be. I would appreciate PM's or emails today(as I may have to pull the trigger on the other one) with suggestions if you can reference other members sales to help me that would be great.

Again PM's or email as I do not want to trash up his post and yes I asked permission first.

What's with the blue photos? That will ruin your Ebay sale. Goofy photos, color tint, blurry are the hallmark of a rip off. If I were you, I'd get those photos fixed. I have probably bought more cars sight unseen than most people here and I wouldn't even consider bidding with those photos. Just sayin'

EDIT:

And, you need about 25 photos and they have to be the real colors. Four blue tinted photos for a car of your quality is just not right. And, while you're at it you should list it as a 560SEC and a 560 SEC (with the space). there is no underestimating Ebay buyers' lack of imagination. Your car does not come up as a "560 SEC"

I'll take a closer look tonight at the pics. However, ebay ad does have a link to over 30 pictures on picasa.

Car is sold and currently being driven by the new owner to her new home in southern Florida. Hopefully he will enjoy her as much as I did for almost 13 years.

I was surprised at the final auction price, which I assume was also the sale price (reserve not met)...I would have thought this enthusiast maintained coupe would have fetched more. Was there a particular problem that would explain this? I mean, it gives me hope in my search for another SEC but on the same token, it makes all the ones I see on Craigslist etc. seem somewhat overpriced in comparison.

Not sold through ebay, believe me! Sold privately at a much better price.
