Finally my R320 came:thumbsup:, and hands down it is a nice ride, why this car does not have a better image I cant understand.

It is so quiet inside even a high highway speeds, and very steady on the road.

If anybody reads this and they are going to buy a R-Class, get the rear view camera and the parking sensors, I'm so happy that we did that, as else this is pron to get dings and scratches on the rear end.

Why does MB not offer BLIS like Volvo as the view from side mirrors are = 0, the first day I already had 2 close calls as the blind spots are  on this car. Or why do they not offer the wide angle mirrors here in US as in the rest of the world.

On my next trip to Europe I'm going to look for the wide angle mirrors.

But, here are my 3 fisrt issues

1. Parking sensors in the front, they have their own mind, they will go on as they like.

2. Rear hatch does sometimes reopen, also own mind, can't figure out a pattern.

3. Steering wheel is not in center when going straight, did not expect that on a MB, but hey they are build in US;)

congrats!

My recent gripe (arent many) is the wipers are noisy, both on the glass and the motor. and there's no rear window wiper delay circuit? like who wants to grind the rear window all day... it never rains that much

edit: take that back, the rear is on a slight delay.

I get the CAR back from the dealer after 2 days for fixing the 3 issues.

On the parking sensor the people who installed the bumper "fixed" the electrical cable with a screw, so a new harness was installed, now working fine.

Steering was aligned so now the CAR goes straigh when it is pointed straight.

The rear hatch is now working, they said that the latch was adjusted, I don't trust them on that, so we will see, but sofar it is working.

Still love the ride, the diesel is very powerfull:thumbsup:

When the mirror contains "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" it is a "wide-angle" mirror.

If you can find the part number for a convex driver-side mirror, you can order it from
Speed Autoteile

You could find the part number by subscribing to EPC, but the free version is USA parts only. Subscription to worldwide parts versions is ~ $12/year.

R-class problem is that it looks just like a Honda Odyssey but costs a LOT more. I agree, it's worth it, but ... .

First; Thanks for the links, I'll check it out

Seccond; my R is going back to the dealer, the rear hatch is acting up again...

Maybe I have to write it differently, I'll be looking for the aspherical mirror that most cars have in Europe.

I'm used to wide angle mirrors and that passengerside mirror is not even close to be a "wide angle/aspherical" mirror.

I'll try to get a picture, but it will be from my Audi, and you will see the difference:thumbsup:
