Pretty much a basic rebuild.(new gaskets, rings, rods, timing sprocket, plugs, wires, bearings, hone cylinders, ect....)Car has 102k miles, so I'm pretty excited to get this done. Even better, my warranty is covering the whole thing....so I'll take it.

I'm curious...why did the engine need a full rebuild at 102k? I have owned MBs for 12 years, several models, and I have never had any issues with the bottom end. Top ends (valve guides, etc.)...yes at 150k or so. The bottom ends of these engines are quite tough. Very interested/nosy in what failed.

Thanks,

acb

Good luck with your engine rebuild. I has mine CL 55 engine rebuild too but the performance wasn't the same for me after the rebuild even though the dyno showed 300 rwhp and 325 ft-tq. on a stock engine after rebuild (no aftermarket supercharger).
