I open my drivers door and no interior lights come on and it does not register that my door is open. any other door it comes on and now i have to open and close my door a couple of times for the radio and my steering wheel to reset in order to lock my doors. Is this a door senor problem? Any help would be appreciated

Wrong forum, I’m afraid.

The forum index is organized / grouped according to chassis designation, usually a letter followed by 3 digits / numbers, and sections cover all engine / versions the chassis came with.

To find the forum section = chassis for your car, please click FIND YOUR FORUM SECTION

Members are not likely to search for the one post the model of the car is mentioned.

The forum section archives have a wealth of DIY / technical information.

Hello. That's the door sensor. Change it out and you'll be good to go. GL.

i was told its an internal sensor? which means i have to change the whole door latch? do you know if that is true? thank you
Hello. It's called a door actuator, to be more specific. Is there any sounds coming from the door when you close it or open it? Any clicking, rattling, etc? Asking because, some door actuators are faulty because the control board - rear SAM Module - will become faulty because water will get in there. The reason water will get in there is because of the seal around the rear light will become brittle/compressed and will let water into the electrical area and all sorts of problems will occur.

First, check if there's water in there. If it's dry and no moisture then you can proceed to replace the door actuator.

If you change the door actuator first, and then get the same error the you'll be paying for work that you don't need.

The same mechanic that told you about the latch will be able to check the rear SAM module, with an obd reader. Google search on how to change the door actuator and watch a few videos, just to get an understanding. GL.
