I would like some help with some of the must have options for new C230.

I live in a warm climate so heated seats will never get used. What about the rest?

Thanks

I went for the sunroof package, which gets you the sunroof (duh), the power rear sunshade (very cool to show off [;)] ), rain-sensing wipers (one of my favorite features), auto-dimming rear/driver's side mirrors, and the programmable garage door opener buttons on the rearview mirror. I also chose the MB CD changer in the glovebox and the 5-speed driver-adaptive auto transmission. Someone here may yell at me for saying so, but I think MB makes way better automatics than manual transmissions. And this one is really great. Holds gears well, has the comfort (winter) mode button, and the touch-shift feature for taking the shifting into your own hands.

All options I picked, I would consider "must-have". Options I WISH I had chosen are the Sirius Sattelite radio option ($400 from factory, now $679 at dlrshp [:(!] ), and the split-foldown rear seat option would have come in handy already. The upgraded sterio would be nice, but I think I can do better for less money on my own with that. I would LOVE to have the hands-free phone option, but total cost for that is around $2,200 - $2,600 and that's just too much $ for me. My cell has a speakerphone and I have one of those little rubber mats that keep it from sliding off the armrest--Voila, hands-free communication! [:D]

sport package, xenon headlamps, stick shift (for me), cd changer.

so sport package, lightining package, cd changer, and manual
Actually, the 2005 C230 IS a sports sedan or coupe. There was no "sports pkg" option. It is already lowered with 17" wheels and sport-tuned suspension "out-of-the-box".

I wouldnt even worry about the cd changer, you can simply buy a 12 pin rca cable on ebay that gives you an aux port for an ipod or mp3 player for 15 bucks. And for the headlights id just go with a 40 dollar HID kit and take the 5 minutes to install them yourself. Its easier and way less expensive.
