I enjoy CCR's cover of "Heard it Through the Grapevine". Its compliments classic car cruising and its very long. Almost 10 minutes long!

Kraftwerk! It's German and late 70's/ early 80's!

Look for a great live album from them in 2005 called "Minimum Maximum".

Warms my heart to see a young person with such music tastes, even though I'm only 23 myself. Spirit in the Sky is one of my favorite cruising songs. Anything CCR. Chicago 25 or 6 to 4 and Saturday in the park. Grateful dead the entire American Beauty album. Edgar winter group frankenstein and free ride. Anything Allman Bros or Van Morrison. Blue Oyster Cult Don't Fear the Reaper. Anything Pink Floyd or Crosby Stills Nash and Young. Styx Renegade. ..early Red Hot Chili Peppers. Again, not 80's music mostly, but timeless classics that I love listening to on a cruise. And it's mostly stuff you would probably still be hearing on a rock station circa 1984.

Haha thanks. In high school I didn't really listen to my favorite songs very often because my friends didn't like them that much...older songs just are way better than "the top 40" that are popular today.

Hopefully in college (which I start tomorrow!), people will have more open minds :D

Just like the W123 itself, music conceived in the '70s is the best no-classical music ever. And there you have it, straight from the mind of a 1982-model:D classical pianist:cool:

Heh, I must be the only one who listens to jazz while rolling in the benz. Just put in an HD radio and putting in some front speakers here in about 30 minutes.

"Take The A Train" - Duke Ellington is my favourite.

I found myself looking for my old CD that had this song by The Shins, called New Slang.
Pretty much any song from the Garden State soundtrack is a good cruising song. Zach Braff is very good at combining music and mood (too bad he's a douche irl).
