I tried the AutoDry car wash system on my Obsidian Black SLK 350 yesterday and was very pleased with the results. I followed their procedure of first rinsing the car, then applying the soap, washing the car, rinsing again, and then using the final "special" rinse that applies the spot-free conditioner. The fact that all steps are built into the wash head that you attach to the hose makes it a very easy process.

Just thought I would mention this product in case others were curious about it. I was pleasently surprised at how good it works.

Does anyone know if that is the same as the 'Flash' one that has started to be advertised on TV here in the UK?

Tempted myself as it looks easy on the ads here - anything for an easy life me. [;)]

I don't know if it is the same, but you can see the Mr. Clean system at

http://www.homemadesimple.com/mrcleanautod

and

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/hi/B0001YLJBO/002-7721077-5638420

I use it also and agree with Big Bill -- it is very effective and really does eliminate spots due to mineral deposits from drying water spots, particularly on dark colors.

Could I use this before applying the Zaino products or does this have something in it that might interfere with Zaino?

Yep looking at the two sites:

http://www.homemadesimple.com/mrcleanautodry/index.shtml

and

http://www.freshliving.com/flashcarwash/home.htm

they do look to be identical looking at the hose end bits.

I've just been wondering bout the 'flash' one myself... got my car early Nov, and last weekend has been the first time that the car has been drying in the heat, before I could chamois it off - loads of water stains - if the 'flash' one does the biz, it could be well worth it.

This is not a detergent cleaner like Dawn that is recommended by Zanio to remove all wax. It is a mild wash product that preserves the wax.

I am amazed how well this product works. Just picked it up myself. Don't be tempted to dry the car.. it WILL dry spot free if you leave it alone.

It is the same, I used it last weekend. I have obsidian black and the results were amazing, comes with money back guarantee if not satified. I think it definately saved alot of time and gives a just waxed finish. If anything it should reduce swirls marks induced by drying with a chammy.

Before Zaino, you are supposed to wash with Dawn to get all wax off anyway.

I might try it after I apply Zaino. I, too, like easy. I've even been known to run a car thru the automatic wash. I know, I'm a heretic.
