Curious, I just did the math on driving to the track versus how much gas to fill up. I got 25.12 MPG doing a steady 80MPH through hill's. Is this typical for a pulley equipped car? What are the SLK 32's getting?

Best mileage I got with my 230K was 32 mpg from Washington to Myrtle Beach.
The same run with the '32 was 26 mpg. The speeds were about the same because the cops were all over the damn place.............

I just got back from a weekend trip with a lot of 80ish MPH driving, I got 24 MPG. The best I've ever done on a tank of gas is 25.5 MPG, all highway. I got 13 MPG at the track last year :D . Avg MPG since I got the car (city, highway, and 3 days at the track) has been 20.1 MPG.

On a recent trip on the Oregon and California coast over 1600 miles I got 30.33 MPG on my 230. Most of the driving was under 65 mpg.

Funny that you bring that up Aaron cause I just showed my eight year old how to figure the mileage on Saturday when I filled. I have a ASP pulley, a K&N, and a remapped chip on my 230 and my driving on my last tank consisted of maybe two or three blasts to 130 or so and my normal driving from Pasadena to Upper Marlboro on mostly 55mph roads. My mileage was 26.13mpg.

On the track I got probably single digit gas mileage. I used more than 3/4 of a tank in 89 miles.

Of course these cars were not purchased for gas mileage.

My 13 MPG at the track included highway miles getting there and back. I'm sure that my actual "on track" MPG was in the single digits too.

I only get about 220-250 miles per tank. ouch. 14 gallon tank? that's like 17mpg... but i also drive like i don't care about mpg, so that might have something to do with it. i have no idea what my mileage is with conservative driving because i have yet to experience it. :)

I also have an upgraded ECU (powerchipgroup .com) that's probably killing my mpg because I told them to tune it to a pulley I am still waiting on the machine shop to finish. I currently have 15% od and i'm getting a 25% and since i had planned on getting the pulley for sometime I told them to tune it to 25% even though it's not on yet. It'll probably make a difference when I can get the right fuel mixture with the right pulley.

Driving to the track I'm assuming your reference is to road miles.

On roads I never got anything above 18mpg (UK) out of my 32.

I think I average about 16mpg in mixed driving. I would happily lower that to 11 MPG for another 100hp.

230 average 29.6mpg

I just worked out my fuel usage for this week for my 230 and I got 29.6 miles per UK gallon driving motorway (70-80mph), dual carriageway (65mph) and Dublin City traffic (5mph) combined:) I'd get a lot more if I had a lighter foot, but what's the fun in that:thumbsup:

Yeah I'd go along with that. I don't reckon I get much more than 21-22 mpg, and that's driving like an adult! 18mpg is more realistic. That said who'd buy a 32AMG and start to worry about fuel economy? Unless of course you're getting like 2mpg, in which case there is clearly something far more fundamental occurring :eek::eek:

On my slk32, when gauge needle hits the first mark, it is usually 65-85 miles. lately, particularly after the price run-up on gas, people must have been playing/messing with the additives in gas, the mileage is onto the lower side, it is more 65ish now. Mostly local driving.

Many variable factors: fuel, temperature, humidity, altitude, tyres pressure, road surface, occupants, roof up or down, hilly or flat etc etc. I was only driving slow (50mph) with the roof down on hilly asphalt.
