Hi guys,

I just got a MP4 / MP3 Player. My job just got a bunch of them to give to cutomers.. NEways. I was trying to see if i could adapt it to play over the speakers in my car. do you guys know if our stereos have input pins in the back where all those wires are? Also, where is the best place to get some juce for the player? I think i will keep the player right under the stereo.

thank you in advance for your input.

Hello guy, i think i got a solution... I went to radio shack and got a FM modulator for 19.99, i was able to steal power from the wires going into the cig. lighter. Works like a charm. The screen is exactly the same height as the small conpartiment under ther stereo and it looks great wen playing video clips. now my next project is to hook up one of those wireless mini cameras to the back of my car and rig it so i can have a clear view of stuff right behing my bumper.

I have an ipod and it does work well with the adapter/charger that I bought at Best Buy however, when you unplug itl, the car stereo is louder. I called Mercedes about the stereo that came in the clk430's and they said that they haven't made the kits yet for them that you can plug the ipod directly into it. I have a friend that has a 2006 330i that has it built in and the ipod sounds awesome!!

jccvato,

This has been discussed quite a bit in the audio section of this site and there are a lot of resources of there as well. The short of it is the FM modulator is good, but not that good. In fact, I tried that with my wife's car (2000 E430) which has the same HU but we here is Seattle don't seen to have many free frequencies to get a good clean connection using the FM modulator option. I myself don't have an MP3 player so the disc changer is perfectly fone for me at the moment.

There are a few other ideas that have been toss around in that section so I would suggest checking it out and doing a "Search this Forum" in the Audio & Telematics Forum. You should get a lot of help and ideas. Good luck.
