Those look like the same wheels on the Jack Middlebrook SEC found HERE.

Looks Great! Greg is an amazing guy, I bought my rear spoiler from him. He's always willing to help with parts or knowledge.

yep those are lorinser RSs

they look nice!! i'm a fan  but prefer the (what i believe to be) the earlier RSs with more dish and a flat "face"

like these. again, it's not that i prefer the chrome over the polish but rather the dish / wheel design

I know they are different Axel, I was just commenting that they sorta look the same. If you look at the two 3/4 poses, they have the same look and feel.

I do like that look as well. By no means is this what will be my last wheel stop. They came up and I wanted some period specific wheels. After I clean up the paint on my car I may consider matching center with polished lips but at the end of the day a set of OZ 3 piece would be my last stop. patience as you know is the name of the game here. For now they besides the look really suit the pony's this car has on hand. Wit the stock wheels getting into the pedal around a sweeper was a balancing act as it had way more than the tire could deal with. Now should the need come up to bury the pedal it feels stable.

Well your car looks simply beautiful and I can't wait to come out there and meet you and have a little GTG with the other AZ members. Will be a good stop on my way back east next spring.

US Wipers?

For an Euro, how come your car has US spec headlight wipers? UGH! You should apologise to the Mercedes GODS immediately & remove them ASAP :surrender:

I have been on the hunt for the right wipers. The Gen II euro SEC wipers are proving a bit tough. I want if you have :D

Haha, I got mine from Ian (ianluscombe). For you, the best bet would be Roland as Mclare has stated that the SECs had different sizes in arms/blades, depending on the model year.

Yeah I know. I thought I found some only to get that news. Roland is doing a soft search. If he runs across a set he has said he would let me know. Buying a Euro is awesome "sometimes" at the beginning but "always" at the end.

LOL. I don't envy you, but apart from the body accessories, what about the other parts, like for instance, the engine or the transmission, etc? Are they equally hard to come by?

Cheers

Laugh. The ECE motor in the US. From what I understand you may have better luck finding a live unicorn for your daughter. Gen II bumpers I might as well sell my house to pay for. Trip computer in working order might be easier. 100% original car that has no rust and was cared for in some fashion with the 822 option that is legally registered here in the US. Might have as much luck finding a complete t rex fossil set.
This is all from my understanding of what members have said.

Ouch! Nobody said being different from the rest was easy or cheap ;)

P.S. if I have a son, does it mean that I'll be searching for a mermaid, instead?

That is why I can't wait to get my 420 SEL back to DD. While I am addicted to this car like a bad drug it deserves the weekend road trips. That is where she belongs. Not zip'n around town take'n out everything that dares to press there pedal against it. When I found out what I had I immediately considering selling it to hedge the money against one of my other favorite body styles. 99-02 (later year for me 01-02) E55 as I have been looking for one to replace my CTS but decided that an E55 of that time could be had at anytime. This could not. Many nights I still wake up thinking that is what I am going to do but then the morning comes and I stop again for another day.
For now I am enjoying throwing money at it. She responds well because overall she was cared for.

Personally speaking, I think the W126 will last longer than all those models and you should keep the 560SEC and not sell it, as many will agree.

The garage that I go to, currently has 4xW140 S coupe models, all from the year 1992-94. One 320 and 3x500 (one belonging to my friend and his car requires a total repair of the entire electronics). Needless to say, that garage owner has a perpetual smile on his face and $$ signs in his eyes these days. Unfortunately, the coupe owners don't share that smile & glint in the eyes. My friend reckons he has a $5k bill coming in next week and he owns a motor-cycle shop.

Cheers

As someone who has a set of the same 16x8 11 offset Lorinser wheels, as well as 16x8 22 offset, plus a 17x8 11 offset AMG set (all chrome), the flat dish 11 offset is my favorite too.
I am not an all out chrome wheel fan, but that's how they came.
BTW, the chrome makes the better finish of the Lorinser to AMG quite obvious.
The AMG centers are a little wavy.
Cheers

Hey DBMB, I love the night shots of your SEC!

I know that there are not many fans of chrome wheels here but after seeing Mapearso's chrome RS90s in person I think your white SEC would look great with the chromed Lorinsers, especially in your offset. Gives it a bit of flash.

Keep the pictures coming as you keep updating that beast. Looking good.
