I looked http://www.thebenzbin.com/ for a monovalve, the search came up with ACC mono valve ($147) and a repair kit ($44). For any of you who have had the no heat problem, can I get by with the repair kit or do I need the whole $147 piece. If anyone knows of a place with cheaper prices, please let me know. I will also be ordering O2 sensors for my w163 and probably injectors for the 300SEL.
Time for another one of my dumb questions....is it one injector per cylinder?

Highly unlikely that you need the whole valve assembly - you can check it in 7 minutes. Pull the insert and look at the rubber diaphragm. If its torn pop in a new one. You can find them cheaper on the net (don't remember where I got mine).

As to injectors - I'm no mechanic and may get corrected, but I've not heard of a production engine with more than one injector per cylinder.

yes- 1 per cyl. as 4 the valve, the original, 000 835 06 44 by Bosch has a list of 59.00, cost 40 to 45.00. If you want to go a little cheaper, like around 20.00, order an insert for a 1988 535i BMW. same insert but an aftermarket is available for the BMW, not the Benz.... kev
