mono wiper cover removal

please help, i have done a search for the removal of the cover of the inner workings of the mono wiper. i have not found any thing that tells me how
my car is a 1991 500sl. the wiper stoped frequently all over the windshield.i lubed the shaft that goes in and out of main assembly , and wiper has worked sense.
i want to clean and lube the inner parts and need to gt the cover off.

Hi Mike,
try the advanced search and chooce all forums (or similar) as I'm sure I've seen a thread(s) regarding this. Could be on the W140 forum or w124, or... Also try different key words as the search tool is no Google...

I'm not sure this will pertain to your wiper situation. My wiper had a mind of it's own, in the intermitant mode, it would stop all over the winshield. When I turned them off, sometimes it would park in the correct position.

having seen gfern's excellent link (and having bookmarked it) I wouldn't bother with the advanced search anymore.. Unless you find the academics of the issue interesting... :-D
