can anyone who is knowledgeable about this subject give me a response? I have a set of AMG monoblock but the offset is not to my taste. Is it ok to machine down the hub face about 5mm to increase the offset? Thanks for your replies.

It's not advisable to machine/grind the hub to adjust the ET because the wheel's lug holes walls would be reduced and that affects the strength of the wheels ball seat which holds the wheel to the hub.

Any modification to the wheel is not legal and I doubt licensed shop will ever do it.
MB wheels do have venting holes with small slots at the rotor as well. Taking off the slots will stop the ventilation and cooling.
But what is the problem with 5 mm bigger offset? Are the wheels rubbing the fenders?
It is not a difference that human eye can catch on the street.
