I have only had my '83 280sl for a couple of months now, but the more I gaze around the interior, the more I think someone has changed out the seats and the door panels. The dash, console and carpets are an olive type green. The seats and door handles are a faded tan (maybe beige?) while the door panels are a dark green (forest?). Honestly, I haven't seen another with this type of combination. Any opinions?

NOTE: soft top black, car dark green, hardtop headliner tan/biege

I visited my local MB dealer and ordered a window winder handle cover for my '83 and the only available green for that year is an "olive" green which coincidently is the color of every thing except the door panels. Sooooo......any good vinyl paint products or does anyone have olive green door panels?
Thanks for the input

Any hits on that paint question, nobby? I saw a place a guy recommended a while back that I find useful. Check it out.

BTW...Where IS nobby? Last seen on 8/19. Maybe he went to see a prize fight and a hockey game broke out.

Maybe

Maybe the door panels are right and he changed all the other stuff. Did you check the interior code on the build/warranty ticket? You did get all the original documentation, didn't you Nobster?

He made a comment about doing burnouts, on the way to get ice, for a trip.

Apparently his 'trips' unlike the old days, require an automobile.

Yes, I was away for 1 week canoe-camping with the three nobsters and my 80 year old Dad. 33 ird year, with my Dad, that is.

NEVER have we even tipped the canoe over. Not in 33 years. Not even the 8 foot drop, a couple of years ago, did us in.
But...we have been wet. Wet like fish get wet.

I thought fish get wet from people peeing in the water.
