Hi folks,

Just a note from your Friendly Neighborhood Moderator Man. As time progresses, I'm gradually finding on some of my own older posts that the image links are breaking. That really stinks, but that's what can happen when we depend on external image hosters (I'm looking at you, Photobucket and PixHost). Therefore, I've been re-uploading those images from my computer to these posts directly and thus fixing the broken image links. The most recent one was about the S600 and the secondary air injection pump.

We also know that there's that bit about, "can't edit your own posts after they reach a certain age". Not sure if that's turned on with this newer forum software, but it was back then.

Well, one really nice thing about having the Moderator bit here on BenzWorld is that I can fix those image links for you as well if you still have those images lying around on your computer. So, don't be shy about asking me for this. That's part of my job, too, and it helps folks who come after us, so I don't mind it one bit.

Wow what an amazing offer T! I have a Lotta photo bucket pics that are blurred out, but the bad part is Photobucket won’t even let me get into my account to get the pictures unless I upgrade and pay them!

Ah...I take it they're not on your hard disk drive anymore? I know that with "spring cleaning" and upgrading computers, things can get lost. And yes, I'm glad to do it. Part of the job.

Your lament is one I've heard before, BTW, quite a few times. That's why when Photof****t did what they did, I swore off of them forever, and so did a lot of other people. It's that ol' saying that a grizzled ol' greybeard UNIX sysadmin taught me years ago:

"Boy, if you ain't got physical security, you ain't got diddly!"

Today's application of that goes like this: "the moment you upload your stuff to The Cloud, it ain't your stuff anymore." Sucks, but it's true.
