I have always had friendly service at the Elite Mercedes Benz dealership in Springfield. Their labor rates are higher, at $90/hour--HOWEVER they will let you bring your own parts in. That can mean overall savings.

John is one of their head technicians and is very knowledgeable with even older cars such as my W126.

I have also heard of a gentleman named Craig, who works out of his home in Omaha, Arkansas, which is 1 hour south of Springfield, MO. I do not have first hand knowledge, but he comes recommended from word of mouth. 1-870-426-3663

Great service on my 1976 slc. Competent and professional. They know their stuff and I was pleased with the results. They fixed the problem that stumped another import shop in highlandville.

Has anyone here used Rick's Automotive in Springfield? What did you think?
Never used Rick's, only seen them on TV!

I've had simple things done at Aasby Automotive on Glenstone like a starter replacement on my AMG. Doug Aasby runs an honest, family-owned shop. If it's beyond their scope of expertise, they'll tell you. For instance, they recommended me to Import Specialties for some transmission issues on my Benz.

Lee, and his sons David and Mike are excellent technicians. I have been using Exclusive Auto for the service on multiple MBs, my Porsche, daughters VWs, etc. They are experts with all German brands, as well as great with English and the other European. He also services exotics, although not that many in this part of America. Always a treat to drop in as he will have a wonderful cross section of classics in his shop from XK Jags to Triumphs the like. Excellent workmanship, fair pricing. The only challenge is time. If you want it done right, and done at a very fair price, don't be in a rush. If you need your MB fixed in a day, then go the dealership in Springfield. If you want the same work at half the price, leave it at Exclusive, but expect it to take a few days. I'm the patient type.
