I recently parked my car to get groceries, only to return and the doors will just not open with the fob. I opened manually with the key itself, went home to try the spare key and the same issue. The battery is new in both. Whenever i try the Mercedes reset the fob works just once and thats it. If i resync it it will work just once and not work again. Both the key and spare. Has anyone experienced this and whats the way out? Pls help

It is an ML320 w163 2000 model. Pleas help

Have you tried these steps? http://www.mercedesmedic.com/mercedes-key-fob-not-working/

Also note, there are plenty of past discussions on this FOB issue for the W163 (and not to worry you but add the fact that these w163 FOB replacement keys are no longer available from the stealerships) Onecan only obtain the valet keys (blade key with the chip in it to start the suv).
here's a couple of discussions on this topic - https://www.benzworld.org/threads/w163-ml-320-central-locks-failure.1547362/

It could also be the FOB itself - https://www.benzworld.org/threads/key-fob-circuit-board.2473657/

When you do the resynch and it works only once, the fix is replacing the AAM.

You need Star Diagnosis or equivalent gear in order to program your old keys to work with the new/used AAM. Doesn’t have to be a brand new one.

This advice applies to MY2000 MLs and later. If you have an earlier model, you can only use a brand new AAM, plus a special coding key to get the immo working.
