Thats seems its a goodbuy , Very Low Mileage for a 2001 Model[ZeroLimit - 4/17/2006 10:51 AM
thats a nice looking truck. I'm in the process of buying an '02 ML320 myself (actually it's MY2001 but sold here as MY2002 for some reason). This one is still 2 color though, but only has 30,000km on it. Regularly maintained at the dealer so they have service record for it.
Answering your question, you should check that with nearest MB dealer around you. I've done general check up on the car (visual check, mechanical check, electrical check, and test drive), and there are several things that needs changing.. air filter, front brake pads + sensor, and a/c pollen filter. The battery is weak but still usable.
So, I think you should check that with your MB dealer to see whats need to be changed/repaired.
if you read that front license plate it says autohongkong.com so you were right [8D]paulxu - 4/17/2006 7:59 PM
I don't think so, it's priced at 228,000, I'd guess it's in Hong Kong, because this truck would be worth between USD 28,000 to USD30,000 in Taiwan but not at $7000.
Does carfax works for car sold outside of north america?willischou - 4/19/2006 12:18 AM
Hi newbie06, you should get the VIN and check to see if there's previous car accident or something bad. Carfax.com should be one place to visit.
Won't cover the Asian part of service, but will show the car's history in US.ZeroLimit - 4/17/2006 11:56 PM

If the truck was owned in US before, carfax should be able to pull something out. Lots of these trucks sold in Asia by importers who export them from here in the US and ship them out there.

Im in Hong Kong too and have same year/model as you. You bought that in the underground mall next to Grand Hyatt if im not mistaken?
You can check the VIN on the Russian MB website - it proved very accurate on mine.
Watch out for MB HK - they will charge you an arm and a leg for everything. All garages in HK can fix Mercedes well because they are more common than anything else!!
HK cars tend to be low mileage, low owner with excellent appearance. You have to watch the brakes, gearbox as many hills though mine is fine. ALso minor damage as crowded with cars so bumps/scrapes normal. They cover them well at the repair shops
Did you pay HKD228,000? I paid HKD210,000 after the sticker showed same. Also got them to wire-up ipod..
Cheers
