i plan to change my rear original spring to eibach pro kit, and lower abit my front tension bar.

it"s can solved my spring hardness and roller problem??

Bear in mind that if you need to leave the tarmac you may run aground with a lower vehicle.

On my ML I notice a bit of roll here and there, but my passengers never complained of any disconfort.

I understand higher car sure will get abit roll.
But I have few 4x4 and SUV in my house. My year 94' toyota landcruiser 4.2D is very comfort like passenger car and totally can't feel the car roll and hardness problem, Mitsubishi pajero also no this problem. My friend BMW X5 also no this problem.

So mercedes do a bad SUV, how come they call it LUXURY SUV...:crybaby2:

Have you considered your shocks may be the issue? I remember when my shocks wore out, the ML felt like it had a roll. How many miles do you have on it?

I dunno how to test my shocks got problem or not. my ML is 68k miles already. it's year 2002 ML.

how to test shocks? the 'standard' test for shocks is to push down on a 'corner' of the vehicle - vehicle should rebound back and stop. if it oscillates the damping is worn out - shocks should be changed.
this test is easier on small cars than on the ML - you migh need a beefy friend to help.
of course you can also tell when you hit a whooptiewoo driving down the road - if you bounce up and down more that 1.5 bounces new shocks likely in order.

if your passengers are complaining about getting thrown around.. maybe it is your driving?? (hehe)
going around the corners i always yell to my passengers (see photo below) -"HANG-ON DOGGIES!!"

On the subject of springs and shocks, does anyone know of an aftermarket air suspension system for the ML that can tolerate some off roading?

I agree with the posts above. It sounds like your rear shocks are blown and they're not dampening any longer.

if you put eibach, it will only get worse.

Hi, I have using a machine to check my suspension, now confirm rear right hand side is spoil, so i already order a set for it. thanks every one helping.

I order a use part from japan, they say japan version will more confort than uk model it's right?

Just to let you guys know that the rear suspension is a coil-over system. The shocks and springs are in one unit. They are very expensive to replace, around $700 each.

I buy a used part for about USD330/per pair and if new want need about USD830/pair
