no these are not stick on they are crimp on so I need to remove the whole woodgrain panel and have no idea how to.

tony, the chrome rings you are talking about go around the dials right? If so, you don't need to remove anything. They just get stuck on the 3 dials with a 2-sided tape.

IF NOT (meaning, they get attached to the dials individually, crimped), then you can pull out the 3 knobs and put those rings on. Just slide out the 3 dial knobs.

I believe he is refering to the old style rings that you need to pull the dash facing off...place the ring and bend/crimp a little tab around the back to hold it on (IIRC).

That's what I'm thinking too. However, why would you have to take off the wood? If you carefully used a small screwdriver, couldn't you theoretically crimp the tabs behind the wood... there is a small gap already.

Then again, I haven't seen these and I'm only speculating here.

You could...but might scratch the A/C controls. OP...are these the rings you are refering to?
