There will be a slightly reduced efficienty of the engine. But the difference will be totally unnoticable.
Perhaps even on the contrary: the air intake funnel that sucks the air from next to the radiator, is quite a slim piece. It restricts airflow (especially the ram-air effect) quite a bit. I've fabricated a 'custom' intake funnel for my car once. It was just a 15 centimeter diameter flexible tube, cut open and tied down so it would fit. It produced a noticable fresh air ram effect, especially on higher speeds (140kph+).
Anyways, it doesn't hurt the engine, and you will barely feel the difference. It's up to you if you get a new one or not.
