Hello all.
Yesterday I was looking at my new 190E 2.3 and found that the air filter intake was loose. I will explain it: checking with another similar models, I found that there is a plastic piece by the side of the radiator that collects the air at the front of the car and enters it in the air intake. It is a kind of funnel.
The thing is that my radiator is not OEM, so that piece was removed because it doesn't fit anymore, so the air pipe is standing at about 15cm from the front of the car. My question is: Should I expect a reduction in performance due to air starvation of the engine or is it completely unnoticeable?

Thanks!

The thing is that the new A/C radiator is wider than the original one, so the inlet horn doesn't fit. The air duct is standing, pointing to the front, with the aperture at a distance of about 15-20cm from the grill. I expect that it doesn't suck hot air, and that the flow is enough even for high demands, what do you think?

Thanks!
