Most of these 190's have a minor leak around the timing chain cover. And it is labor intensive and costly to pull the whole thing out and fix it with a new application of RTV sealant.

My 190e had a minor leak at the very bottom of the timing chain cover, so I experimented by working WHITE LITHIUM grease into the leak area and leaving a small coating of the grease on top of the area.

After a couple of hundred miles of driving off and on, there are no oil droplets to be seen whereas before the application there were droplets on the roll bar no matter how short of a distance that I had driven.

I don't know how it works, but it SEEMS to. I know though from research that WHITE LITHIUM grease is somewhat adhesive.

Time will tell.
