90% city. I live 1.5 miles away from work and the city where I live in is small (horsetown).

I get about 12mpg driving around the city.

When I go to the Bay Area, 90% freeway driving, I get about 25mpg.

That's similar to mine.

I live a mile from work and rarely drive freeway miles anymore. In town, the mileage is about 12 mpg. How do you like your illuminated door sills?

The illuminated door sills are great. I wish they made one that says: "Mercedes Benz V8". Currently, they only have ones that say either "Mercedes Benz" or "///AMG"

It took me about 45 mins to install because I was already familiar with its installtion with my ex-SLK about 1.5 years ago. The SLK is a harder car to work with, anyway.

Illuminated Door Sills

What color light? I thought they were exactly like the stainless ones originally on the car - they say V8 and I love that. That's the reason I bought the 430. Well, that and the black birdseye maple.

The armrest and door pulls have amazingly close grain and color to the factory grain and color. The wood armrest actually replaces the factory armrest.

I don't have good pics though.

Illuminated door sills

What are they made of? Stainless like the original door sills? Does anyone know how to remove scratches from the stainless steel stock doorsills?

Tell me more on the installation process.

Can you tell me more details about the illuminated door sills? Do you have any instructions or pics? Did you replace the existing door sill during installation or did you install the illuminated door sill on top of the stock door sill?
