Also when you did all your Maintenance, purge's, and new injectors did it go up noticeably? im almost ready to pull the engine out and rebuild and replace about every part so it runs

You know Mike, thats a great question. I drive my 300D around town and do local errands with it. Between my wife and I we have 3 other vehicles. She drives a Grand Cherokee, I drive a Suburban, we have a Chevy Aveo that we use as a commuter car or for whatever we feel like using it for, and the 300D.
I never have filled up the tank on the Benz. I usually just drop $20.00 in it and go. I seem to enjoy my time alone just driving around aimlessly in it.

Iget 32 in the summer with my 4 spd on summer diesel and keeping it under 65. maybe 28-30 in winter. Get a used engine in good shape. I picked up one that was clean and quiet for $200 from a wreck. Rebuilding is too much work and $ if you can find a good donor.

I got 33mpg going from full to empty on a LA to SF drive at a supposed 68mph.
