I installed a quick connect to the battery connectors so i can plug the trickle charger when the car is sitting and i removed the connectors from the battery and today i took the car out and the middle vents were blowing cool air, could the climate control been messed up by removing the battery?

Does yours have four control knobs on the center vent panel? If so, the bottom one controls temp from the center vents.

No I'm talking about the thumb wheels on the panel between the two center vents:

Anyone know why the bottom thumbwheel control would be stuck ...and how to fix it?

I think it operates a manual damper linkage. You can remove that panel and check. The plastic cover (the "dogbone" shape) just pries off, then there are some Torx screw underneath that hold the vents and controls to the dash.
