A repaint always devalues the car, and more so when the color is changed. A good job will be expensive with all the trim removed, there will be issues with getting paint under the rubber seals around the front and rear windows the engine compartment and the doors. The body was painted and then assembled, if it were a classic it would make sense. You could probably do as well by selling yours and finding the color you like. I had some stone chips taken out of my SEC, and they devalued it when I traded it, because of the respray on the hood. If you plan on running it into the ground it does not matter
