Just order'd the part picture'd in the above picture (V12 Emblem Gear knob ) from Mercedes Spare Parts, it is only available from Mercedes in Germany ,the cost is AU$60 + gst .
Part number in Australia is # *MB-A2022670934 . ,if you want this part in your country , just ring your MB spare Parts dealer and tell him about the emblem on top of the gear knob even if your S600/600SEL doesn't have it like the earlier models,in other country's the Part # is probably different .:thumbsup:

LOL Malcolm. What is it the V12 emblem or just the black star emblem without the V12 written under it ,probably 40 bucks worth or more ? .
You would have killed me because last night nearly by a whisker I purchased this complete shifter assembly just for that emblem ,talking about pension money,that would have been 2 weeks pension ,or not ,I don't know as I'm not on the pension yet ,lol.:thumbsup:

The guy that bought my CL420 new had it badged as a V12,,, this is on the gear shift as well, so the good one I will vinyl wrap it for now to preserve it.

Wow that's awesome ,fancy going to that level & detail adding that emblem as well ,bet the car you purchased of him was in perfect condition overall in every detail.

I paid £3k for the car some 3 years ago, its not mint but a good car. It has no real value now in the UK, but I love it and we use it for shopping. We have a blue badge so no parking problems with those huge doors. The build of the car still fascinates me, its way over the top in every detail I am as happy driving it as I am with my 216, it rides so well.

Just received that Emblem ,problem is they send me the one with out the V12 underneath the Mercedes star logo .
To order it I need a late model vin chassis # so I gave them one but because it is a US car they cant order it ,now the question is , is there anyone here on the forum that could try for me to see if this badge only can be order'd over there with the chassis number I provide here .

Just to make sure what it is I'm after ,this emblem picture'd below MB Germany send me the same thing but without the V12 writing on it ,I guess its from an Mercedes Elegance or something , the only thing I can order is the whole burlwood knob for over $400.

Yeah I know that but mine is not for everyday driving ,more of a weekend car then anything ,the car where ever she gets parked is never out of my sight.
I like attention to detail with cars ,so this v12 emblem is just one of those small details .
The Mercedes spare parts guy behind the counter suggested to me to paint the V12 writing underneath with a silver pen ,lol . :thumbsup:

Sorry to hear that. But a clue to it being wrong from the get go is the chassis designation A2022670934 - which means its for the C-class

These are the rear pillar emblems I had on my S500 when I was a mortal Free Shipping TWO 2 PCS OF Chrome V8 Letter Emblems SET BMW Mercedes Benz | eBay , you can see them within my pictures of my ex S500 ,these with the longer V on them look better next to the pillar at the rear.
Here are genuine once ,keep in mind you can find them much cheaper .
