following Paul's instruction, you can find his pub in BenzWorld. I just did mine a month ago, well worth the effort. If you are looking into a DVD player, try the Blaupunkt DVD ME3, it has a very small footprint and can be tucked inside your safebox under the passenger seat. I did it this way in my 98. You may need to plug in the VCR to initialize the VES after install, then you can take the VCP out.
forgot to add: you will need the molex plug and pins and 18g wires. the molex plug and pins can be had from molex for free, just go to their website and request for samples. they arrive in a week to 10 days.
