Welcome, the 52 week low, back in March 09 was $21, the high was $111 on Oct 29, 2007, from there they went down, but all automakers dumped, they seem to be on the rise again, it yields a 1.5% dividend too, which isn't super but better than any savings account.I owned Daimler Chrysler AG (DCX) for a short time and it didn't do much. Thanks for the tip because I didn't know MB was still alive and well on the NYSE.
I bought and sold my ford stock as well. Turned a good profit. Unfortunately for me, at $55 a share I do not have the capital to turn a decent profit in a reasonable time.....ford was nice though. I had a good feeling for it long before I bought. Just had to wait for the right moment. Last time I looked at it was a couple of months ago and it was up to $8 then. Too bad I did not hold on for just a bit longer.Somewhat related is I have a friend who invested in Ford when it was $1.10 and it's now over $10.00. The only problem was he set up an automatic buy/sell at some percentage and fell asleep. Then he bought it back for $3-something so he's still ahead. Good luck with your investment.
I know the feeling. I don't have the ready capital to buy into Mercedes either but I am curious as to how it will do.I bought and sold my ford stock as well. Turned a good profit.
