Does anybody have a photo of a ML 320's engine showing the top of the engine and the order in which the electric wires for injection are to be connected. I am just fixing an installation which was connected to a LPG system.... but didnt work too well so am retrofitting to its original setup.

Here's what you need, taken from the WIS circuit diagram for ML 320, engine 112.942. Up to 08/00.

Injector valves Y62 for cylinders 1 - 6

Y62y1 for cylinder 1. pins 1 & 2 both gray/black.
Y62y2 for cylinder 2. pins 1 & 2 both gray/red.
Y62y3 for cylinder 3. pins 1 & 2 both gray/green.
Y62y4 for cylinder 4. pins 1 & 2 both gray/blue.
Y62y5 for cylinder 5. pins 1 & 2 both gray/yellow.
Y62y6 for cylinder 6. pins 1 & 2 both gray/violet

All pin 2 are routed to separate pins on N3/10
All pin 1 are routed to a common switched voltage connection location.

Hello,
thanks for your answer, does the service manual give that info in detail?

Not in the way that I posted - but it has the detailed circuit diagram for the module that controls the ignition, and that shows connector numbers and wire colors.
It takes a while to locate the right drawing though!

This information is from the so-called WIS, which is the MB workshop manual used in dealerships by their techs and the parts guys. It comes on DVDs so it can be installed on your PC. I bought mine in 2006 as a 'superseded' version from eBay only for my 2004 CLK. Then I discovered that it included details for ALL models from about 1985 to 2005. Now I could get a version that covers models up to 2011.

I could have posted the circuit diagram and let you work it out, but this list seemed better.

RE:

OK here's the electric installation for a 3.2 ML Engine.
My understanding is that the orange injector electric cables connect in order
as on the pic just as they are aligned.
1) How about the dark ones, what is the connecting order of those?
2) The ground wires -were do they connect as per each invidual wire?
