The first thing I would do is have the codes read then post them on the ML-Class forum for your car. I did not know we could clean the crank sensor. It would probably be better to just replace that. They do not cost very much. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I don't know why the engine troubleshooting procedure never makes it to stickies.
I did it in W163 section years ago and in W210 section last week. The models share the engines, so it is the same.
Next time the engine does not start observe tachometer during cranking. If it doesn't move it is likely CPS. (You can't clean those).
Next step is check the fuel pressure on the valve mounted on fuel rail. That require some precaution. Installing pressure gauge there might be good idea if you can get one.

manually i check the valve mounted on fuel trail but no gas come out
Did you do that while somebody else was clicking ignition or even cranking the engine?
If yes, next step would be finding if the problem is power supply or pump.
Go to the fuse panel, find the fuel pump fuse and test for the voltage. Again, while somebody is clicking ignition.

I could never get solid confirmation that the failed CPS affects tachometer.
In your case sounds pretty clear there is no fuel pressure.
Pumps on ML have "kind" of common problems of burning wire. (this is inside gas tank).
Next step would be removing the cover under rear seat and check the voltage on pump connectors directly. If the power exist and pump is not pumping, you have to pull it out.

The early ML320's were made during the Chrysler era, which in turn means they were not built as well, my parents had a 2000 also and I finally got them to trade it in, it had 110000 on it and it was starting to nickel and dime them. Personally, I hated driving that car, brakes sucked, gas pedal sucked and it just did not feel like a Benz.
