I did the Valve Cover gaskets on my M113 and learned a valuable lesson. Under no circumstances should you remove the breather cover off the valve cover after you've sat it in place. After placing a 2mm bead of MB brand RTV all over the breather cover, I placed the cover on the VC and began torquing down the bolts. I didn't quite get why the bolts are supposed to be replaced, but after snapping one off in the VC, I understood. the result was I had to pull the breather cover back off, drill out the broken bolt, and then put the breather cover back on and torque it down with new bolts. The bolts were M5x16mm FYI. Lesson learned
