Hi guys please I need a help, I saw a small plastic box under my rear seat melted and the wires glued. I was so curious to know what it is I googled the ID A210 820 64 28 and I discovered it was headlight control unit.
Please can someone educate me on how it works and how important this is to my headlight?

It reads the front and rear axle headlamp adjustment sensors, and based on the information determines the inclination of the car, and adjusts headlamps' beams up and down with motors inside the headlamp assemblies. If the trunk is loaded with some heavy load, it will adjust the headlight beams so that it will not blind the oncoming and the drivers in front of you.

Looks like some sort of light for a taxi. Maybe to indicate occupied or not? Was this a taxi? Just purely because of the location near the rear window. Looks like just a box of LED's

since that device is clearly a non-MB addition, it may be helpful to post a photo
of where the wiring connects or any other markings or labels on the device.
