Daimler, BMW Discuss Linkup on Components - WSJ.com

It is hard to imagine but according to article Mercedes-Benz and BMW are seeking possible cooperation in sharing parts, components, engines, etc.

Any thoughts?

Mercedes and Aston Martin are contemplating MB motors in future AM cars.

I wouldn't have a problem unless safety or performance is unduly sacrificed.
