Hi Guys, Im hoping someone can offer me advice or point me in the right direction, I’ve got a 2016 (registered July) 350d Cls it’s done 9689 miles to date. last Saturday I parked the car up, I went out approx 2 hrs later and the engine cooling fan was running full pelt with no key in the ignition, to cut a long story short it’s been into a independent Mercedes service centre and they have diagnosed it has a faulty front SAM board sending rogue signals to the rear SAM board which is turning on the rear interior lights, this is draining the battery causing the cooling fan to kick in and drain the battery😒 they told me due to the cars age and mileage the board shouldn’t fail. its cost £168 for the diagnostics and a quote of £926 for replacement I’ve contacted MB customer service and they have advised I book the car into a main dealer for diagnosis..... what I am asking has this happened to anybody else and do Mercedes have any liabilities regarding replacement.
